Prepare now. Start with confidence.
Understand the process, practise the skills and build the foundations for a project that is entirely your own.
The 2026/27 coursework project brief will be released on Tuesday, 1 December 2026. The project will primarily focus on ALT1 and ALT2.
Build systems that connect people and information.
Turn raw data into something meaningful.
A head start, without the pressure
Students don’t need to wait until the official project is released. Before December, students can complete a mock ALT1/ALT2 project to practise the full development process.
Get familiar with the technologies and each stage of development before official coursework begins.
Guidance at every stage
Once the official project begins, lessons can help students understand the brief, develop the required Computer Science skills, debug problems and review progress.
Support can cover planning, programming, databases, analytics, testing, evaluation and documentation. The aim is to help you make your own decisions and explain your own work.
Coursework remains entirely the student's own work. Tuition provides teaching, guidance and feedback rather than completing assessed coursework on behalf of the student.
